
Background _
The theatre is a newly constructed state-of-the-art cinema with Luxurious experience requires a robust infrastructure to support various technological needs for both internal operations and audience experience with a specific requirement. The primary objectives were to streamline internal operations, facilitate seamless communication, and enhance the overall audience experience through a sophisticated Wi-Fi network. The project involved deploying 16 access points, 1 router, and 1 switch, with specific configurations to meet the unique demands of different areas within the theatre. Client had some specific requirements in terms of guest SSID; s and 6 SSID’s inside theatre room.
Objectivess_
Internal Operations
- Internet for Staff and Guest
- Each Seat will have table for Food ordering so there are 400 Tablets in total.
- Facilitate smooth communication among theatre staff.
- Guest SSID setup for all visitors with hearing aid frequency setup
Audience Experience
- Provide reliable Wi-Fi for audience members and members with hearing aids.
Scope of Work_
Network Design
- Engage a network architect to design a scalable and secure network infrastructure.
- Setup router and 16 access points with 6 access points given only 1 SSID just for tablets for food ordering. Other 12 access points have Guest SSID and Staff SSID and Ordering SSID.
- Setup Switch with Port restriction for Speed.
- Implement wired and wireless solutions to cover all areas, including, front of house, and audience areas.
- Tablets will be connected to a hidden SSID, and a specific ordering application only allowed to used in tablet.
- Firewall security is setup in High Frequency mode to filter out all type of attacks.
Benefits_
Internet Connectivity
Establish a high-speed, redundant internet connection to ensure uninterrupted online operations. Implement a guest network for audience Wi-Fi access, separate from the internal staff network.
Security Measures
Implement firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and regular security audits to protect sensitive data. Secure the network against unauthorized access, especially in areas with sensitive equipment.
Centralized Management System
A cloud controller is setup to manage whole network so that it does not require all time site presence for IT staff
Ensure secure access controls for authorized personnel.
Wi-Fi for Audience
Deploy multiple Wi-Fi access points strategically to ensure comprehensive coverage.
Set up a captive portal for guests to access the network after authentication.
Backup and Redundancy
Establish a backup system for critical data and configurations.
Implement redundancy measures to ensure minimal downtime in case of network failures.
Backup wireless 4G/5G device connected with failover policy.
